About The LFVFD

We were founded in 1948 and have been serving the citizens of  Los Fresnos and our surrounding community for the past 70 years!

The Los Fresnos Volunteer Fire Department was organized back in 1948.  Since then, we have been providing fire prevention, fire suppression and rescue services to over 140 square miles of Cameron County.

Our call volumes continue to grow at a regular pace and we have recently added a second sub-station in the Bayview area to provide additional coverage and lower response times to the Bayview area.

Our volunteers are continually working to advance their knowledge and training through weekly trainings, coordinated events, and continuing education opportunities.

Chief Daniels is currently serving as the Chief of the Los Fresnos Volunteer Fire Department
